As a SAAS customer you pay a monthly hosting/service fee rather than purchasing computer servers and software. Summing up, Cloud computer deployment boils down to owning virus renting equipment and software.

The database "lives" on the remote computer, and hence, can be manipulated whether the computer is connected to the Internet or not. Remote computers are configured to exchange information - synchronize - with the Cloud Computer at regular intervals.

ACT! On Your BrowserACT! Premium for the Web is deployed on an IIS Web Server giving users the ability to manage information without installing ACT! on their computer, tablet or smart phone. ACT! Software Developers have made sure that interface looks and functions identically to ACT! Premium for Windows. You have the option of configuring your own IIS Web Server or paying an outside party to host the database for you. The cost for hosting your database to an outside party will range between $30 and $50 per person per month.
